Brazilian Techno Queen ANNA Set For Debut Tour
Brazil’s’ first lady of techno, DJ ANNA, will travel to Australia for her debut tour Down Under.
Whether she’s producing for elite labels such as Pleasurekraft’s Kraftek, Bla Bla, Witty Tunes and Toolroom Records, or owning the DJ booth of popular club spots, ANNA has found a way to command the attention of the house and tech-house world.
While her father was the owner of the most popular nightclub in rural Brazil, and she has been playing since she was 15, it took ANNA a brief move to Europe in 2008, to really blow up on an international scale. The star, who made her beginnings playing for free, is now one of the biggest exports to come from Brazil, having toured Dubai, India, Ukraine and played all over Europe.
In between all of this, ANNA’s original productions have also made her one popular lady. Regularly gracing the Beatport Top 10 sales chart, she has won over the support of the who’s who of DJing including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Damian Lazarus and all the heavy-hitters at BBC Radio 1. Catching the attention of none other than Green Velvet, ANNA had the techno veteran remix her 2014 smash “Unique“.
Starting off on Friday 1st July, at Perth’s Geisha Bar, she’ll journey to the other side of the country to play for local collective Motorik, in support of Futurism at a secret location is Sydney, before rounding out the weekend at Melbourne’s notorious Revolver Bandroom on Sunday 3rd July for a day party.
