DJ Medhi Falls to his Death

The music world suffered another loss this week as French hip-hop and electro producer DJ Mehdi died in a freak accident at age 34.

DJ Mehdi was hosting a birthday party for fellow musician DJ Riton when a plexiglass skylight shattered underneath him and three of his friends causing them to fall 7 metres, Mehdi was fatally injured in the accident.
Amongst the many Tweets from fellow musicians around the globe including Chromeo, Skream and the Ed Banger Label of which DJ Medhi was a part, Paris Social Club closed its doors last Tuesday to honour the DJ with a night of silence.
Recognised as one of the best producers in the French Underground scene and a resume including collaborations with Daft Punk, Justice, Chromeo and a long term partnership with Busy P this was yet another tragic loss of an extremely talented musician before his time leaving many friends, artists and DJ Mehdi’s family mourning in its wake.
