DJDS Announce New Album ‘Stand Up and Speak’

Duo Sam Griesemer and Jerome Potter AKA DJDS have just announced the release of their new album ‘Stand Up and Speak’.

DJDS came to prominence under the name DJ Dodger Stadium in 2014 with their debut house album ‘Friend of Mine’, which was named album of the week by Stereogum. Now they’re back with an emotive, soulful club-ready album which has already received praise from SPIN, Fader, Stereogum, Pigeons & Planes and more. To find unique musicians to work with, DJDS used paper flyers and Craigslist, resulting in the singer on the title track being a doorman at a downtown hotel, and the live drums being recorded in the living room of a Filipinotown mansion.

Their opening track ‘You Don’t Have To Be Alone’ is an energetic, soulful house track that takes elements of classic R&B and reinvents them with a modern twist. Check out the video below.
