Ed Sheeran – Lego House
Ed Sheeran’s acoustic stylings provide his third single ‘Lego House’.
Following on from the genial tones of ‘The A-Team’, and the self-confident acoustic-rap of ‘You need me, I don’t need you’ is Sheeran’s 3rd single from debut album ‘+’, ‘Lego House’.
It’s a low tempo ballad, almost as a riposte to ‘The A-Team’ (I’m going to pick up the pieces / and build us a lego house) in which he uses his vocal talents to do a nice tribute to Craig David.
As the song develops and the angst in Sheeran’s voice increases, the pace and power of the song doesn’t quite pick up enough. It plods along, as he tells you how he’s going to make things better, and then it’s over. It’s 3 minutes that would fit easily into a late 90’s rom-com soundtrack.
Although not as strong as his previous singles, Sheeran’s ‘Lego House’ will appeal to loyal fans of the talented youngster.
Have a listen for yourself.
