Warm up those vocal cords, 40 years of musical history is coming this way as Elvis Costello and The Imposters prepare to wow Sydney for one night only on Wednesday 23rd April 2014 at the Sydney State Theatre.
As someone inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame with over 40 albums to his name, Costello certainly knows how to wow his fanbase, having already done a dozen tours in Oz, he’s back for two nights only and lucky for Sydney dwellers, one of those nights is right in your hometown.
The night will include songs spanning Costello’s four decade career, which is sure to bring back a few memories for lifelong fans. Not that anyone will remember when they were originally released…right?
It’s sure to be a diverse and entertaining range of music, coming from a man who has collaborated with a wide variety of acts including Burt Bacharach, Paul McCartney, The Brodsky Quartet, Swedish mezzo-soprano Sofie Von Otter. Now it’s your turn to become the collaborator, although we wouldn’t recommend actually taking along a microphone.
