Erick Morillo At Brown Alley
Erick Morillo is one of the mainstays when it comes to house music. For over a decade now, he has released one chart-topping track after another and hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down.
As a platinum-selling artist, he was the producer behind Reel 2 Real’s hit ‘I Like To Move It’ (yes, that one in the Madagascar movies). Operating under his various pseudonyms including Ministers De La Funk, The Dronez (with Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero and Jose Nunez) and Li’l Mo Ying Yang, he has experienced immense success with his Subliminal Records house music empire, weekly ‘Sessions’ parties in New York, Subliminal Sessions parties in Miami and Ibiza and residency at Ministry of Sound (where he’s still one of the only American DJs to ever hold one). This all accumulates to a whopping 30 gigs a month – and the summer months are even crazier.
Now to add to his crazy schedule, the house devotee has announced a Melbourne appearance for early next year. If you want to know what house sounds like, Erick Morillo is your man.
