‘The party animals’ playground for the excessive’ and the wildest of the five Budapest Party Hostels, where (almost) anything goes, Grandio is one of the only true party places on this earth that welcomes artsy alcoholics, lost souls and creative party people with talent but no direction or audience.  You can sleep when you’re dead so don’t expect to get any sleep here! 

Grandio is a living, breathing creature that is constantly evolving. The historic building itself is over 150 years old, heritage listed by the city and decorated by street artists from around the world.  Bar and jungle on site, late night music club in the basement, sex bed in late night room, laid back staff who think that day time drinking is the norm, where night and day blur into one.

During the day, hang out in our courtyard enjoying BBQ’s, drinking by the fire pit, playing flip pong, sampling the local Hungarian firewater, drinking Strawpedoes and meeting fellow travellers… and if you’re not too hungover, we can suggest and organise a wide variety of activities for you — join free walking tours around Budapest’s city streets, ride Beerbikes, soak in the bathhouses, drive tanks, try room escape games, go adventure caving underground, or just wander around the neighborhood’s funky vintage and design shops and galleries. Whether you want a full rundown of the city’s sights or just need to know where the nearest 24-hour bar is, the Grandio crew will get you sorted.

When evening rolls around, get ready for costume parties, karaoke nights, pub crawls, spa parties, booze cruises down the Danube river, Jaegertrains, open mike nights and Alcoholympics competitions— good time guaranteed every single night of the week, year round!
