Why we love Kangaroo Island at Winter
Kangaroo Island Adventure Tours – one of Adelaide’s highest ranking tours on Trip Advisor – has dropped its price for its popular two-day trip to Kangaroo Island to just $399 for travel from 1st May to the end of August.
Staying at the coolest backpacker accommodation on the island, Vivonne Bay Lodge, with full use of kayaks and bikes, Kangaroo Island Tour Deals include a visit to Seal Bay, sandboarding at Little Sahara and stops at Kangaroo Island icons, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch.
“Our Lodge is in bushland with one kilometre of beach frontage and 10km of signed walking trails. Nothing beats relaxing on our deck after a fun day of small group touring and being visited by friendly kangaroos and koalas that call Vivonne Bay home,” SeaLink Marketing Manager Julie-Anne Briscoe says.
The $399 price tag, $37 off the regular price, includes return coach and ferry travel from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island, all meals – which receive excellent reviews – and dormitory accommodation (can upgrade to 2-4 share rooms), two days of small coach touring and great local driver/guides. Courtesy pick-ups are also included in Adelaide from selected hostels and hotels or the tour is just $355 from Cape Jervis if you have a car and want to leave it there for a couple of days.
“Kangaroo Island is definitely an island worth visiting at any time of the year and many of the highlights you find on Kangaroo Island are appealingly different during the seasons. This tour is also about visiting the places that not every tourist gets the chance to see,” Julie-Anne says. “If you have a taste for adventure and don’t want to come home with copies of the same holiday snaps as everyone else, this tour is for you.”
“In autumn and winter Kangaroo Island is the perfect destination and is when the hills become lush and green, the wildlife is more active than in the warmer months and cellar doors, restaurants and cafes provide incredible food and wine experiences.”
The two-day adventure tour runs three days a week between May and October, increasing to four days a week in November and then daily from December to March.
“You’ll also be travelling with people who are likeminded; who love a bit of soft adventure and want to meet the people and see the sights that make this place truly special,” Julie-Anne says. “Our guides are the best around and our guests are blown away by their friendliness and knowledge. You feel like one big family when you travel on one of our tours.”
