Sydney producer and rising Anjunadeep artist Blake.08 today unveils the release of his much-anticipated debut album From Sydney With Love, set for release on August 22 via Anjunadeep. Along with the album announcement, he drops the hypnotic, groove-driven single ‘Bass In The Area’ featuring Brazilian duo Claxy. The news is further highlighted by the announcement of Blake’s first Australian headline tour, set to take place throughout August and September this year.
Driven by a tight breakbeat and a deep, funk-leaning bassline, ‘Bass In The Area’ is a sharp and stylish club cut that showcases Blake’s signature sound – rhythm-forward, emotionally resonant, and built for movement. The track features an enchanting Portuguese vocal from Clara Valentine and Gui Gautreaux of Claxy, adding a rich global dimension to its minimal, punchy production.
“The groove is driven by that funky bassline – everything sonically orbits around it,” Blake shares. “There’s a light touch of bell sounds too, which keeps it simple but high quality. It really feels like my signature Blake.08 breakbeat style”.
The new single sets the stage for From Sydney With Love – a deeply personal, 13-track debut album built entirely in Blake’s home studio. The record reflects on over 15 years of creative growth, translating fear, courage, restlessness and joy into intricate sound design and club-ready grooves. It also pays tribute to Blake’s hometown – both a literal and emotional anchor.
“This album is a love letter to Sydney,” says Blake. “It’s where I’ve moved through so many phases of life. Without Sydney – the culture, the people, my family, the beaches, the harbour – I wouldn’t be the person I am today.”
To celebrate the release, Blake.08 will bring From Sydney With Love to stages across Australia this spring. The national tour commences at the end of August and runs through to the end of September, with headline shows at Chophouse in Falls Creek, New Guernica in Melbourne, Civic Underground in Sydney, Nevermind Alley in Adelaide, Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane, Elsewhere on the Gold Coast, with more shows to be announced soon. Fans can expect an immersive live experience that captures the album’s full emotional and sonic spectrum.
2025 has already been a standout year for the Sydney artist, with shows across Australia, New Zealand, London, Dubai and Albania – including sets on anamē’s Australian tour, all three stops of the Anjunadeep Open Air Australia tour (Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide) playing alongside Nils Hoffman, Marsh, Romain Garcia, and HANA and a triumphant return to Anjunadeep Explorations. His live sets are all-original and emotionally immersive, designed to move both bodies and minds – a spirit he’ll bring home with his upcoming Australian tour later this year.

His May single The Change Of Love drew international attention, earning glowing reviews and widespread radio support from tastemakers including WKDU (US), SLAM! (NL), TROS FM (BE), Los 40 (ES), Radio FG (FR), and Beat 100 (MX).
