PRESAVE: ISN’T IT OBVIOUS? – PEACH FUZZ
Naarm/Melbourne indie-rockers Peach Fuzz return with ‘Fall Right Back To You’ – a heart-on-sleeve rock anthem about breakup regret and the ache of wondering if you made the wrong call. It’s the latest taste of their forthcoming EP Isn’t It Obvious?, set for release 17 September, and it lands alongside news of their East Coast tour this October, joined by rising indie-folk star Lottie McLeod.
Built around captivating guitar riffs and bittersweet vocal hooks, ‘Fall Right Back To You’ balances emotional grit with melodic warmth – a love letter to people and relationships left behind, and the gnawing feeling that maybe they’ve moved on quicker than you have. “The lyrics speak to that feeling of remorse and yearning,” the band share. “When you’re unsure if you made the right call.”
The announcement follows a huge year for Peach Fuzz – selling out Northcote Social Club on their debut headline tour, clocking 720,000+ streams/views on breakout single ‘What Do You Want From This’, and scoring slots with Ball Park Music, Mid Drift, Park Rd, and a slot at Beyond The Valley.
The forthcoming EP Isn’t It Obvious? captures the emotional chaos of being young, messy, and constantly second-guessing yourself – all wrapped in catchy guitar riffs and anthemic choruses. From the care-free buzz of ‘Carpool’ to the fiery smile-through-your-tears energy of ‘Wish U Were Never Born’, it’s a collection that invites you to scream, cry, dance, and fall apart in the space of 20 minutes.
“Every song on this EP lets you sing your heart out about some very real and very chaotic emotion you’ve probably had towards someone,” the band explain. “It’s indecisive, emotional, and loud – just like your early 20’s should be.”
The band are taking the EP the road this Octobe, bringing their euphoric live energy to three headline dates. The Naarm/Melbourne indie-rockers will take over Howler (Melbourne, Oct 10), Blute’s (Brisbane, Oct 24), and The Trocadero Room (Sydney, Oct 25), joined by rising indie-folk star Lottie McLeod. With a reputation for wild, fun shows and a sound that blends the grit of garage rock with sun-drenched hooks, Peach Fuzz are fast becoming one of Australia’s most exciting live acts. These shows promise high emotion, louder choruses, and the kind of crowd singalongs you’ll still be hoarse from the next morning.
