Ayers Rock may be the standout star, but this Rock To Rock Tour of Australia’s Red Centre has a few surprises up its sleeve…

There are many extraordinary sights Outback Tours; some you will have heard of, while others will be a complete mystery until you lay your eyes on them. Leaving from Ayers Rock Airport, the tour begins with a stop at the Cultural Centre, where you can learn about the flora, fauna and Aboriginal culture of the Red Centre. After some lunch, it’s time take on the walk around Ayers Rock – traditionally named Uluru – before seeing the great rock light up during sunset with a cold glass of bubbly. After dinner, you lay out your swag (an Aussie bedroll), for your first night under the stars. One of the many great additions to Uluru Tours and Uluru Tours from Darwin.

With an early start on day two, you get to see Uluru during sunrise, and then head off to see The Olgas. Traditionally named Kata Tjuta, these enormous domes make for an extraordinary sight as you hike through the Valley of the Winds. For one last experience of Uluru, enjoy a cultural base walk with your tour guide, before the drive to Kings Creek Station – a real working cattle/camel station – where you get to enjoy a BBQ dinner around the campfire before bed.

Awake on day three for a visit to Kings Canyon. With a hike around the rim of this great natural structure, you can take in its sheer size before heading back to Kings Creek Station, where you’ll have a choice of activities to add on to your tour for an extra cost, including a ride on a camel, helicopter or quad bike. Leaving Kings Creek Station, you head off for Curtain Springs Station in search of your last outback sunset, this time over Mt Connor, and your final night under the stars. After breakfast on your fourth and final day, it’s time to return to Ayers Rock Airport, for you to continue your adventures wherever they may be.
