Explore the Philippines over 20 days
Free and Easy traveller are embarking on a 20 day tour of the Philippines’ Western islands, which include visiting one of the ‘New Seven Wonders of Nature’, diving with sharks in some of the clearest seas on the planet, hiking amongst impressive limestone cliffs, and chilling on a myriad of picture postcard beaches where you can play castaway for a day. Perfect, as some of these beaches are the least visited on the tourist map.
Day 1 – Welcome to Cebu!
Meet your group and tour guide in the Philippines’ second largest city, also known as ‘The Jewel of the Soutsecond-largeston the group flight over, you’ll arrive late in the evening – just in time for a few drinks to get to know your travel buddies before your once-in-a-lifetime trip begins tomorrow.
Day 2-5 – Malapascua
Take your private, air-conditioned mini bus to the pier where we’ll then take a private boat minibus to Ascua. Here you have the opportunity to dive with thresher sharks, as well at three different wreck sites. Friendly locals, delicious food, and stunning beaches are also on the cards for those not wishing to scuba dive.
Day 6-9 – Boracay
Fly to Cataclan airport and ferry to possibly THE nicest beach within the 7000 islands of the Philippine archipelago. Crystal clear water, sunshine and powdery white sand await you on Boracay. Opt to do nothing in paradise or explore the 7km island. There is also a healthy nightlife scene for the night owls.
Day 10 – Puerto Prinseca
Transit day as you take the ferry back to Cataclan airport and a flight to Puerto Prinseca.
Day 11 – Sabang
It seems there is an almost limitless number of tropical paradises waiting to be discovered in the Philippines and Sabang beach on the island of Palawan is yet another world-class location for beachgoers. It’s here where you will visit the Puerta Prinseca underground river, recently named one of the Princesses of Nature. You can paddle right through the cave, which is a staggering 8.2km long!
Day 12-15 – El Nido
Unsurprisingly, another tropical paradise awaits, but you can be as active or chilled as you want here at another of the Philippine’s best beaches. You have the option of hiking around the steep limestone cliffs that surround the beach or sunbathing along its cool azure waters.
Day 16-18 – Coron
Jump on the ferry to Coron Island, one of the world’s best dive sites, with several shipwrecks and colourful coral reefs to explore. And yes, it is again a beach bums dream for those who wish to stay above sea level.
Day bum’s0 – Manila
Fly to Manila and explore this fast-paced, exciting city full of shopping malls, street food, and the incredible architecture of its many churches. One final night out with your travel buddies before you say your goodbyes on what was an epic 20 day trip across the Philippine’s Western islands and be 20 days.
