Experience the Whitsundays For Just $179
White sand beaches, clear azure waters and pristine blue skies stretching out as far as the eye can see… it’s the stuff dreams are made of, and you could experience it all. The Whitsundays are a collection of 74 uninhabited islands lying in between Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef surrounded by waters perfect for sailing. If you’re travelling Australia’s East Coast, this is definitely one you’re going to want to tick off your bucket list.
We know the feeling – you’ve travelled, you’ve smashed all the East Coast Australia Tours up from Melbourne and are feeling a bit… strapped for cash. Never fear! You can still experience everything the beautiful Whitsundays has to offer with Red Cat’s Thundercat Whitsundays trip. This one day sailing trip offers an exhilarating ride around the islands, stopping off at all the prime locations, including two beach stops and two snorkelling opportunities.
On these Whitsunday Sailing Tours, the day kicks off when you’re picked up at Abel Point Marina, ready to set off on a day full of adventure. The 600-horsepower boat, designed for speed and stability (perfect for those more inclined towards seasickness) will then whizz you off to Hill Inlet Lookout at Whitehaven Beach, offering stunning sights of the blue hues against the white sand. Next it’s on to Betty’s Beach, which can seem to stretch on for miles when the tide is low – perfect for sunbathing or having a splash in the water. Thundercat will then take you on to Manta ray Bay, an idyllic snorkelling spot teeming with exotic marine wildlife, before delivering you safely back to Abell Point Marina.
The price also includes morning tea, a delicious lunch of cheese, meats and salads and fresh fruit kebabs as an afternoon snack. The boat is also BYO (excluding red wine and glass). With a fun, experienced crew to hand and all snorkel equipment provided, all you need to bring with you is sun cream, a towel and a sense of adventure!
