For the true adventurer, the phrase ‘only if security permits’ could be one of the most enticing starts to an invitation to travel. This stunning tour of India includes everything you could want to experience across the length of the continent, as well as some more obscure places you might not have thought of. The first day of touring is packed with local sightseeing around Delhi, including the opulent Red Fort – for which the above phrase is applied to – followed by the memorial site of Mahatma Ghandi and more.

India's Golden Triangle

On day three, you can experience for yourself the bustling roads and beautiful countryside of North India on a drive to Agra. After checking into the hotel, you will continue on to the Taj Mahal, the most iconic image of India and a beautiful memorial to ruler Shah Jahan’s lost love. Following this is the Agra Fort, which houses the Pearl Mosque.

Next, drive to Jaipur to visit the deserted red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri, hardly a ruin but still in near perfect condition more than 500 years on.

India's Golden triangle

No trip to India would be complete without an elephant ride. Visit the hilltop fortress and Hawa Mahal, ‘Palace of the Wind’, followed by the ancient Jantar Mantar Observatory, all on a mixture of modern and more traditional transport.

From Jaipur, fly to Cochin and visit the stone church of St. Francis to witness European influences on Indian architecture. For a real, authentic feel of India, you will visit Princess Street, the traditional meeting place of the area’s fun-loving people.

Proceeding to Munnar, you will see one of India’s natural beauty spots, situated at the meeting point of three streams. Trek from here to Echo Point and Nyayamakad to view its stunning waterfalls.

India's Golden Triangle

See man and nature at work in Anayirankal and Munnar’s tea, coffee and cardamom plantations. Next, visit the Power House Waterfalls and Periyar Wildlife sanctuary. After the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, there is still time to finish off your Indian adventure with a relaxing boat ride and free time to explore or rest at your hotel.

There can’t be much better than this for a real, varied taste of India.  Discover more adventures in India with www.indianescapes.com.
