Explore Kakadu National Park
Embark on a 3 day adventure in the wilderness and explore Kakadu National Park!
With Territory Expeditions adventure, you can see all of the main attractions such as Jim Jim Falls, Twin Falls and Ubirr Rock.
Departing from Darwin, day one will kick off with a wildlife cruise where you have the chance to see crocodiles and unusual birds. This is the perfect photo opportunity, so don’t forget your camera!
But that’s not all. On the same day you drive straight toward Kakadu National Park, and have a picnic lunch on the East Alligator rivers bank (not too close though!)
Here you have the opportunity to see some crocodiles, and also flying foxes, known to be the largest bats in the world. Next you will head over to the ancient rock art, Ubirr Rock, and see the incredible views over the Nardab floodplain. Finish off the day with a tasty dinner and camping under a canopy of stars in a safari camp, and getting some rest for the next day’s activities.
The following day, experience some 4 Wheel driving to Twin Falls, where you will get to take the amazing escarpment walk to the top of the falls for a dip in the crystal clear pools.A climb up Budjimi Lookout offers spectacular views of the ancient Arnhemland escarpment and a 1km walk through monsoonal vine forest will truly take your breath away. Do some more swimming in the plunge pool at the base of Jim Jim Falls to cool yourself down after the day’s adventures.
On your final day of the 3 day tour, you get to learn more about the local Aboriginal people of Kakadu at the Warradjan Cultural Centre and head to Barramuni Gorge for a walk to its crystal clear waters and a plunge pool.
For only $615, you can experience all of this and more. All food and water, tents, transport and camp fees are provided, so you couldn’t really ask for much more. Just make sure you bring all of your essentials – a swimming costume and good walking shoes are a must on this park adventure!
