Travel via the backpacker’s paradise of Lagos and onto Lisbon in Portugal. There’s more culture and sightseeing before heading back to Madrid to experience the last of Spanish nightlife. Flying from one frantic city to another, we arrive in Marrakech to begin our adventure in Morocco.

First up we hit the road, driving to Ouarzazate and visiting a local Berber village. Then it’s onto Zagora at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Buckle up in a 4×4 as we venture to our desert camp to eat together under the stars, watch the sunset over the rolling sand dunes and rest up for camel riding the next day. ‘How’s the serenity?’ has never rang so true. Once we’ve had enough of desert life, we drive to the resort town of Agadir to soak up the sunshine, do some water sports, feast on the local seafood and check out the nightlife. There’s an overnight stop in the dreamy, hippy town of Essaouira before heading back to the chaos in Marrakech and the famous Djemaa el-Fna Square.
