Fable – Stranger In My Head
Much-hyped Brighton artist Fable has been making huge waves across the blogosphere over the past 24 hours with the release of her second track ‘Stranger In My Head’ and we just couldn’t let the opportunity pass to wax lyrical about the rising star.
Taken from her upcoming debut EP ‘Parasite’, produced by multi-million selling trip-hop collective Archive with whom she’s also writing and recording her debut album, the track is every bit as good as first single ‘I Speak Words’ and that’s really saying something.
‘Stranger In My Head’ shows the supremely talented songstress in her element with chillingly dark vibes and brooding overtones really setting the tone for the whole track and encapsulating everything that’s really special about the 19-year-old.
Lyrically, Fable really leaves much to the imagination and it’s her mysterious aura that perhaps proves most attractive on first listen. The relentless echoing of ‘Stab Me Before I Change’ is an enticing as it is peculiar and we’d urge you to give it a listen and make your own judgement yourself.
Debut single ‘I Speak Words’ has totted up over 10,000 plays on Soundcloud since its release and we won’t be surprised in the slightest if ‘Stranger In My Head’ follows the same pattern, having clocked upwards of 4,000 plays in just 24 hours.
The likes of Caesar Live N Loud, She Makes Music and Soundsphere Magazine have already covered the track since its release and whilst we’re by no means the first to recognise her potential, we’re certainly not likely to be the last either.
‘Parasite’ is due out in October via 74 Music. We’re very excited to hear what’s next.
