Fantasy Island Release New video for Breaking A Heart

Following the announcement of their debut single release on Stroll On Records in February, Fantasy Island have released a brand new track and accompanying video in the form of ‘Breaking A Heart.’

The duo, comprised of Main Therapies Son man Alex Jacob and fellow Los Angelino Spencer Frazen, have already made waves with ‘Avenue,’ their debut track. Finding themselves with many a follower online so swiftly, the duo were quickly signed up for their first official release with Stroll On Records, with ‘Avenue’ joining ‘Evergreen’ to form a single statement of intent.

‘Breaking A Heart’ is the newest track released from the duo, and sees them finding hazy comfort at a more disco-orientated pace. Downtempo percussion dances with a surreptitious ensemble of keys, before the chorus brings a ghoulish, Wild Beasts-esque shift in histrionics, proving that Jacob and Franzen are as astute pop craftsmen as ‘Avenue’ had made them out to be. The video then takes on a far more sinister edge. Compiled from chopped up psychedelic freakout footage and manipulated horror slides, it’s a gut-churning juxtaposition to the song’s more upbeat tones.

Fantasy Island’s debut single ‘Avenue / Evergreen’ is available to pre-order on 7″ vinyl now from Stroll On Records and is officially released worldwide on 27th February.
