
Feeling The Street Brings Buskers To A Global Stage
Many of the world’s music greats have busked on the streets in order to have their talents heard, and now, there’s a new music initiative giving a voice to the performers of today’s street corners.
Brought to you by TOYOTA and supported by Australian ambassadors, Shepherd, Feeling The Street will offer buskers from around the world the opportunity to share their music in an online hub. It’s no secret that the streets of Sydney, London, New York and all over the world are dotted with amazing talent, but now the general public get to vote for their favourites online to eventually make up the Global Street Band, without any of the X Factor or The Voice gimmicks.
Musicians are now able to submit a video of themselves busking their own, original material – no cover versions allowed – until 20th May. From 20th May – 3rd June, the public will be able to vote for their six favourites that they’d like to see play together, and from 4th – 20th June, the winners will be named and go onto tour New Zealand for nine days.
Aiming to offer those that they share the streets with a chance of a lifetime, TOYOTA are bringing authentic, undiscovered talent to a global audience.
