Festivals in Melbourne Victoria – Best of Both Sides Festival
Once a year / Four stages / Fifty talented artists and bands / Seven days of sensational live entertainment, food and drinks / Two iconic Melbourne venues…
Bimbo Deluxe of Fitzroy and Lucky Coq in Windsor will once again bridge the great divide between North and South of the Yarra River to bring Melbourne’s cultured crew The Best of Both Sides.
Drawing upon their reputations as supporters of great food & music, the understated institutions that are Bimbo Deluxe and Lucky Coq will join forces for the third time to present the annual, seven-day festival. Almost as highly anticipated as E. Bunny himself, The Best of Both Sides festival has become a highlight of the Easter holiday season that showcases the finest electronic and live music talents.
The two iconic establishments will unite, forgetting their north versus south rivalry for seven days, to present an incredible lineup of live entertainment over four stages and two suburbs. Common interest and a free shuttle bus will connect the two great pubs philosophically and logistically making sure that Melbourne’s music-savvy don’t miss a beat or a bevy!
Punters will have the chance to enjoy an extraordinary lineup of diverse entertainment whilst they gnaw on the venues’ signature four-dollar pizzas and savor drink specials all week long. Signed to this year’s bill is the Melbourne production crew, Mixed Messages, who’ll be taking to the north side stages whilst Congo Tardis will be bringing a superb South American influence south of the border. The reunion just wouldn’t be the same without family members Chameleon Records, Blackout, Melbourne Techno Collective and Haul music turning up to cause a stir and little cousin MISK who celebrates its 2nd birthday. To top it all off, Jamie Stevens and Steve Ward will support Thankyou City in their live show extravaganza and renowned M-Division will bring up the underground. Headlining both stages will of course be the locally famous and superb $4 pizzas including some surprise releases set to wow their loyal groupies and new fans alike. Hunt no more this Easter, everything you need to enjoy the holiday to the max is all at The Best of Both Sides!
