Previous actual experience with clear dates of time in role and main duties; Qualifications – commercial cookery, RSA, Food Handling; and written references.
Is there anything people should consider doing before they arrive in Australia that will help them find work faster?
An RSA is important for Food and Beverage Staff and a Hygiene Certificate for Kitchen Staff.
What’s the average pay per week/month for a temp worker? Does industry or skill level make much of a difference?
Pay is weekly and rates are based on experience, job descriptions and the award the client is operating under.

Note to workers, make sure that you don’t sign contracts offering lower wages or working for cash in hand at reduced wages as there is plenty of work with reputable organisations.
What kind of shifts do people have to work?
Hospitality is based on social hours. Alseasons has shifts during midweek lunches but Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest. From October to December there’s lots of function work both midweek and weekends.
What industries and roles are you hiring for?
Were hiring for hotels, clubs, corporate and private catering, restaurant/cafes, events and functions and resorts.
Do you always have work available? Are there times of the year when you don’t have any work available?
The busiest times are between August and December, although Alseasons has work year-round for competent people.
Will people need to supply there own uniform?
Yes, all hospitality workers in Sydney must supply their own uniforms, but Alseasons has a discounted uniform shop for many items.
