Asides from the capital, the small country also boasts a rich history of techno, gabba, EBM and industrial music, as well as rock.
To this day it has world-class clubs like Fuse and globally renowned festivals all year round, so here we look at five reasons you need to go and check out some of the flagship events in the coming months.

These two legendary brothers always know how to cook up a real ruckus on the floor. They mix techno, acid, rock, wave, breaks and so much more into electryfying soundtracks that will blow your socks off. They are local boys of course, so when playing at their home club of Fuse are sure to be extra on form.
Rampage 2019
March 29-31, Antwerp

This is the biggest drum & bass and dubstep festival in the world. It is known for its supersized production, mega line-up, vast sound system and pyrotechnic like you have never seen before. This is the 10th anniversary of the event so expect even more treats and sets from Excision, Andy C, Sub Focus, Wilkinson, Dimension, Funtcase and plenty of others.

June 1-10, Domain De Plas in Houthalen-Helchteren

This house and techno music festival tries to operate in as much of an ecologically responsible way as possible and pays a lot of attention to the overall festival experience, with different camping options and great food stands. In 2019, about 42,000 people visited the festival.

The underground tastemaker that is Leon Vynehall follows up a spell brining album on Nina Tune with an equally brillaint mix. It reaches deep into her musical past, present and future and goes from soul to techno to ambient with real story telling ability. He is sure to drop plenty of the tunes from it at this one.
Paradise City
July 5-7, Perk

This festival brings culture names from underground house and techno to a beautiful setting. It also has a seriously green bent to all it does, from recycling waste, offering money off if you car share, solar powered energy and much more. It’s not full on hippie, but it does offer lots of local food and drink, all in a friendly environment.
