Florence and The Machine are back with a brand new single ‘What the Water Gave Me’ in anticipation for her long awaited second album ‘Between Two Lungs’. Her calm and haunting vocals start with a chilled flowing rhythm, before she spins off into a hypnotic hippy chorus evoking a somewhat sounds of the sixties vibe.
The mood of the song soon builds enough momentum for that classic Florence purposeful progression which we’re soon people will be howling along to in no time. Next festival season better get prepared for Florence Welch to be parading around on stage in something floaty and barefoot. This girl knows what she’s good at and she certainly sticks to the successful formula.
