Flow Festival 2012 Adds New Acts To Line Up
Flow Festival, from Wednesday 8 August – Sunday 12 August in Helsinki, has added fourteen new acts to its 2012 line-up. New international bookings are the British rising star of new disco, Kindness, the ambassador of Los Angeles Boogie Funk, D?M Funk, and the hazy synth-disco driven US band, Chromatics.
New Finnish acts in the Flow Festival program are scene legend Tuomari Nurmio presenting his project Dumari & Spuget, the mainstay of Finnish pop, Manna, the unique electro pop newcomer, Tiiu Helinä, Rime, the duo of vocalist Sara Sayed and producer Antti Hynninen, the singer-songwriter Mikko Joensuu, known from the band Joensuu 1685, the mysterious Motelli Skronkle, the hotly-tipped indie rock act Stockers!, the energetic girl trio MIAU, Sin Cos Tan, formed by Juho Paalosmaa of Villa Nah and the producer extraordinaire, Jori Hulkkonen, the all-star Finnish folk-pop outfit Atlético Kumpula, plus Desto, one of the leading characters in the Finnish dubstep scene.
In addition to new acts on the music programming, Flow announces the film screening of ‘TURNING’, a documentary mapping the collabroative dance performance project by Charles Atlas and Antony and the Johnsons.
As per last year, Flow Festival will also feature the ‘Open Source Stage’ presented by Heineken, onto which fans can propose and vote acts added into the line up.
More programme additions will be announced later in June.
