This year Fed Square is turning 10 and there are plenty of free activities on offer this weekend as part of the celebrations. All weekend you can catch behind-the-scenes tours of Melbourne’s iconic square, as well as special exhibitions and workshops at the Australian Centre For The Moving Image and Kirra Galleries.
On Friday the Big Screen will be showcasing a selection of short films from the very best at Swinburne University and the Victorian College of the Arts.

Hit up the Main Square on Friday for ‘Dance, Laugh, Knit’ which brings you a huge program of free activities. Rise early to join in with Meditations at 5.30am or Tai Chi at 8am. If the early start doesn’t sound too appealing, there will be Laughter Club, Yoga Class, Zumba, Salsa and much more later in the day.

The Main Stage will welcome some of Australia’s more exciting up-and-coming acts during the Afternoon Concert of Saturday. The likes of Animaux and the girls from Stonefield will be giving live performances, helping Fed Square celebrate its birthday in style.

Head to the Big Screen and take a seat of the Fed Square gaming couch this Saturday where you can challenge your friends in the PAC MAN competition.

Not sure how you will travel from place to place? Hop on and off the free City Circle Tram to see the best of what Melbourne has to offer. Pick up the burgundy and gold trams, a Melbourne icon, at specially marked stops throughout the city. The circuit in total takes 30 minutes and it is an excellent way to get around.
