FreQ Nasty Presents Yoga Of Bass

Bass legend FreQ Nasty and Los Angeles Yoga teacher Claire Thompson are returning to Australia with with their series of ‘Yoga of Bass’ workshops for the fourth year running. Together they have successfully toured their sessions in United States, Canada, England and Australia at a wide range of venues and festivals including Wanderlust Yoga Festival, Glade Festival UK, Eclipse 2012 and Symbiosis.

The ‘Yoga of Bass’ experience sees FreQ’s DJ set perfectfly fuse with Claire’s yoga asna, free movement, and deep stretch sequence. Participants will explore the relationship between art and music during a 90 minute session with an eclectic range of dub and bass music. Through some deep musical meditation, FreQ and Claire will illustrate how the pairing of Yoga and Bass can teach us about the power of intention and finding purpose in life.

An expert in all things Bass, FreQ will also be bringing the innovative SubPac experience down to Australia and Asia for the first time – The SubPac, which has been praised by DJs around the world, is a tactile, audio speaker technology that allows deaf people to ‘hear’ and feel music through a vibrational dimension. All FreQ gigs in Australia this summer will utilize this technology within a Silent Disco area on the dancefloor for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Those interested in exploring ‘The Yoga of Bass: Music, Ecstasy and Freedom’ can come along to one of the Melbourne dates where FreQ and Claire hosted last year’s sold out workshop, as well as sessions at Rhymic Seeds Music Retreat in Byron Bay and at Subsonic Festival in NSW.
