Future Music Festival 2014

The organisers of Future Music Festival have promised that next year’s event will be the most electrifying year yet; and they have really upped their game for 2014!

You have no doubt heard about the first round of artists to be performing at this year’s festival? There has been an astounding response for next year’s line-up which includes the well-renowned Londoners Rudimental, beat pumping Deadmau5 and thrift shop kings Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Brett Robinson, the festival’s promoter stated that “we have listened to all the feedback from the 2013 festival and we are committed to making sure that the production levels continue to increase for year to year and, most importantly, the sound quality meets even the most discerning festival-goers’ expectations.”

Pre-sale tickets are to be released on Thursday 26th September 2013 at midday, all general sale tickets will be available on Tuesday 1st October 2013. The price of a ticket is $160+bf and service charge, however for the Adelaide event tickets are only $155+bf and service charges. Make sure you get your paws on them before they have all sold out, and with this line up- they’ll be gone in a flash.

The festival will be hosted in several parts of Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Here’s a break down each day and how to get to each location effortlessly:

Saturday 1st March 2014, Brisbane:

The venue has been moved for 2014’s festival to the RNA Showgrounds, on the edge of the city at Bowen Hills.
Car- Brisbane Showgrounds is a large venue set over 22 hectares with various entry points depending on the event- 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills Brisbane, Queensland Australia 4006.
Train- Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley railway stations are less than a 10 minute walk from Brisbane Showgrounds.
Bus- Buses access the surrounding streets regularly.

Sunday 2nd March 2014, Perth:

The event will be held at the Arena Joondalup. Train- Arena Joondalup is approximately 1km from the Joondalup railway station. By foot, the train station is about a 15 minute walk. Bus- Buses run regularly from the train station and surrounding suburbs, including a CAT bus which stops at the front of Lake Joondalup Baptist College which is next door to Arena Joondalup.

Saturday 8th March 2014, Sydney:

The event will be situated at the Royal Randwick Racecourse which has been transformed as a result of a $150 million upgrade and is easily accessible, being just 5k away from the centre of Sydney. Bus –Central station (Chalmers Street) to Royal Randwick Racecourse from 10.30am onwards, departing every 15 minutes.

Sunday 9th March 2014, Melbourne:

Flemington Racecourse. Train- Flemington bound trains will depart Flinders Street Station (platform 8 & 9), stopping at Southern Cross Station (platform 14) and North Melbourne Station (platform 6), then express to Flemington. Flemington bound trains will depart Flinders Street Station (platform 8 & 9), stopping at Southern Cross Station (platform 14) and North Melbourne Station (platform 6), then express to Flemington.
Bus- Catch the Route 472 from Williamstown, Footscray or Moonee Ponds and alight on Fisher Parade, near the Riverbank entrance. Catch the Route 404 from Footscray or Moonee Ponds and alight on Smithfield Road.

Monday 10th March 2014, Adelaide: 

New venue at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
Bus – several bus routes service the Showground on Goodwood Road. Bus stops 1 or 2 on Goodwood Road are most convenient to the Adelaide Showground. Tram – departs Adelaide from Victoria Square & outside the Adelaide Railway Station every 20 minutes, with the journey taking five-minutes to reach Goodwood Road Station, Stop 3. It is then a five-minute walk from the tram stop to the Adelaide Showground.
