Future Music Festival 2014 – The Line-Up

Follow us on Google News

Future Music Festival 2014Future Music Festival is back at the forefront of everybody’s mind, having just announced not only a star studded line up for their 2014 festival, but an amazing theme to go with it.

The five-date festival will be held in early March 2014 and is boasting a “Madagascar-azy” safari theme for next year’s events. They warn us to expect anything from Sahara sounds to jungle jams, coming to us from a newly enhanced audio system to make for their best festival yet. Hopefully this means fancy dress will be widely encouraged too…

Venues have been changed and refurbished with the Brisbane show now taking place in the impressive RNA Showgrounds, while the Adelaide date has been relocated to the epic Adelaide Showgrounds. Randwick, where the Sydney festival will take place on Saturday 8th March 2014, has been given a $150million make-over, so come rain or shine it should be a day to remember.

To top off the excitement, an iconic list of headliners has been released. Top of the bill next year will be Canadian electro-king Deadmau5 with his revolutionary sets that stray from the DJ norms. Stars of the 2013 music scene, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis also head up the roll call, bringing their chart-topping anthems, ‘Thrift Shop’ and ‘Can’t Hold Us’ along to the party.

French Indie guys Phoenix are hoping to follow on from their success when they took to the stage at this year’s Coachella by signing up for Future Music Festival ’14, and will be joined by other dance favourites Eric Prydz and Hardwell among many others.

Brits also feature heavily in the line-up for 2014, with four-piece Londoners Rudimental already booked, along with Tinie Tempah and producers-of-the-moment Chase & Status.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 1st October, and are just $155-$160 depending on the venue, so put the date in your diary and remember to snap one up!
