Gecko’s Rest is a family owned and operated budget accommodation provider, situated in the heart of Mackay (CBD). We are close (less than a 5 minute walk) to the eateries, cinema, shopping and nightlife of Mackay.

Gecko’s Rest has 19 rooms of various sizes and can sleep up to 48 guests.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES
FACILITIES AT GECKO’S REST:
• Reception operates between the hours of 8am & 9pm
• Fully equipped kitchen (all pots & pans provided) in working order – personal cutlery & crockery available from reception
• Laundry room with washers & dryers – iron & ironing board available

• All rooms are air conditioned
• Each person has a lockable storage space in their room

Gecko’s Rest is purpose built and family run. We have a variety of rooms (19 in total) which can sleep up to 48 people. All of our facilities are clean & comfortable and we are fully compliant with all fire safety regulations for your safety (and our peace of mind!).

• 1 x Family Room (Double + 2 Singles)
• 7 x Double Rooms
• 3 x Twin Single Rooms
• 2 x Single Rooms
• 4 x 4 bed Dorm Rooms
• 2 x 3 bed Dorm Rooms

Every room has air-conditioning, lockable storage space for each bed, with all linen & towels provided.

CHECK IN
Check in times have some flexibility – we will attempt to accommodate your needs.

CHECK OUT
Check out time is 10am. A later check out time can be arranged for an extra fee.

ROOM RATES:
• Dorm Bed (max 4/5 beds) – $24/night
• Single Rooms with fridge – $40/night
• Twin/Double Rooms – $55/night
• Family Room – $90/night

These prices are subject to change. A late check in fee of $5 applies to all check ins after 10pm, unless prior arrangements have been made.
* A $20 key deposit is required, refundable on checkout.
