Georgia Mae – Time With You

22 year old musical whiz Georgia Mae’s new release Time With You treads well trodden ground with a fresh sound. There is a lot of this female lead electro pop around at the moment so it can be hard to shine through, but thats exactly what Mae does. A lot of other songs become to bare and weak but Time With You is  wonderfully crowded with little bleeps and vocal layers. There is a so much going on all the time but crucially it avoids sounding like a thousand instruments and instead sounds like a thousand parts of one. There is this bit, just as the chorus comes in, which I can only describe as stabby lasers which are really cool. Mae is a real talent, turning her hand to a million different musical projects, and manages to avoid being another one of the crowd with real intelligence and subtlety.
