Hold me in your arms, Don’t let me go, I want to stay forever, Closer each day….Home and away…
If those lyrics are permanently emblazoned on your mind, then there’s one experience you can’t miss whilst in Sydney and that’s The Official Home & Away Tour.
The Official Home & Away Tour
Channel Seven and Flamin’ Galah Sydney Tours have developed a fantastic tour to give you a real taste of this famous Aussie soap. Departing from Sydney, The Official Home & Away Tour takes you to Palm Beach – fictionally known as ‘Summer Bay’.
The famous strip of beach is where you may even be lucky enough to see some filming in action whilst on the tour as well as visiting famous parts of the set such as Alf’s Bait Shop. On board the Official Home & Away tour you can also learn things you didn’t know about Home and Away including the area, the production, the filming and the people. There’s also a chance to hear some backstage gossip from those who have worked on the show.
The tour includes free time at Palm Beach where you can explore the all-important locations from the show such as the Pier, the Lighthouse and of course The Summer Bay Surf Club. For die-hard fans of Home & Away you can relive some of your favourite scenes from the soap all whilst taking in the breathtaking scenery from the surrounding areas. There are plenty of photo opportunities along the way and should the timing be right, you may get to meet some of the cast.
A great day trip out from Sydney you’ll experience the fun side of Sydney’s stunning Northern Beaches before ending up in Manly where the tour comes to an end. You can either then spend the evening wandering around Manly or catch the ferry back to Sydney.
With tours priced at just $99 per person, there’s no excuse to not tick this off your Aussie bucket list!
