Get Messy At The Wine Fight Of Haro

You might have heard of throwing coloured powder at Holi One Festival, and even lobbing tomatoes at La Tomatina, but have you ever heard of chucking gallons of red wine on friends and strangers? Intrigued? Welcome to The Wine Fight.

Officially called La Batalla del Vino de Haro, this unique Spanish festival begins with an evening of street partying, bar hopping and dancing in the town of Haro, before you spend a few hours taking advantage of a bottomless supply of red wine and throwing it here, there and everywhere. When The Wine Fight is over, you can head back down the mountain, covered head to toe in delicious red wine.
