Giorgia Angiuli and her favourite travel spots
Giorgia Angiuli, the young and quirky Italian tastemaker has made a superb impact in the world of electronic music ever since she burst onto the scene back in 2013. Over the past five years, she’s been able to develop and improve her fervid approach to playing out dynamic house, techno, and electronic-based pop by utilizing her arsenal of quirky toy instruments and vibrant synth collections.
The prominent producer, originally from Puglia, the heel of Italy’s boot, has been able to travel far and wide, playing to large crowds at some of the world’s most revered cities and locations. We explore some of the greatest locations Angiuli has performed in and couple this with the love she has expressed for them.
The Italian DJ and explorer is at the top of her game in terms of her musical output and kicked off 2018 with touring performances around South America, Australia and lastly Europe; a continent she’s extremely familiar and very fond of. She’s been impressing various brands and events on the European continent of late, most recently Do Not Sleep, a brand she will be linking up with at the end of this month for their mammoth event showcase in London at Oval Space.
Angiuli has been vocally supportive about Florence, a city she’s based in when not on the road. We all love to know of places where you can relax, clear your head and de-stress, right? Well, she’s been expressive in a recent interview about locations to do this and more. Giorgia states that, on a warm Summer’s day, the Botanical Garden’s of Florence can be one of the cities best escapes to enjoy; expressing love for the natural, non-uniform growth of the gardens blossoming plants and shaded areas with fountains and pools.
Another, perhaps livelier spot is Pizzeria Il Pazzaiuolo, also situated in Florence. You may think Italy, and Florence in particular would have an abundance of Pizza places and you wouldn’t be wrong, however Giorgia has stressed that for an authentic wood oven pizza experience, this is the place to go. From creamy Mozzarella through to hard-to-come-by seafood dishes like bruschette, this is where the Italian DJ recommends.
For a travelling artist like Giorgia Angiuli, the fruits of various continents and countries have been made available to her, thanks to her talented performances, but sometimes it can be worth looking closer to home for some great eateries, attractions and views, after all… it may very well surprise you!
