Global Backpackers offers quality, basic, inexpensive, comfortable accommodation in an older style building. We are just a 2 minute walk from the heart of Melbourne city. We are a small, easy-going, friendly hostel with approximately 60 beds.

We are right across from the Melbourne’s, Victoria Markets and a 2 minute walk from trams, shops, and cafes giving so there’s lots to do and see.

Accommodation consists of single, double and 4 to 6 person shared dorm rooms and great hostel facilities that include full modern kitchen, TV room, internet, courtyard, rooftop and a bar. The atmosphere is laid-back, lived in and a bit retro.

You can go from Southern Cross station to Flinders Street station by tram or train. This will take you to Elizabeth Street. Then, go up Elizabeth Street to the corner of Elizabeth and Victoria Streets. This will take you to Victoria Markets, a landmark that every tram driver should know. We are right across from Victoria Markets.
