Red Peak Station (545m above sea level) is nestled amongst pristine rainforest with a 175 metre boardwalk providing you with the perfect opportunity to explore the forest from ground level. The station is surrounded by towering trees, lush palms, giant ferns and a diverse array of plants and wildlife. Here you’ll witness the true grandeur of these ancient forests. Complimentary guided boardwalk tours are available throughout the day. Skyrail’s qualified Rangers are on-hand to provide fun and informative rainforest tours sharing their knowledge of this fascinating eco-system. Rangers will help you identify some of the forest’s more unusual native plants species and will be happy to answer any of your questions. Rainforest displays and interpretive signage provide you with additional information on the native flora and fauna.

Make sure you take the time to relax and absorb the rainforest atmosphere before re-boarding the cableway and continuing your Skyrail journey to the second mid-station, Barron Falls. On approach to Barron Falls Station you will enjoy spectacular views of the majestic Barron Gorge, a deep chasm lined with dense rainforest vegetation and its mighty, granite walls. Easy access walkways at Barron Falls Station lead you through the rainforest to three separate lookouts providing breathtaking views of the Gorge and Falls. The Falls are at their most spectacular during the green (wet) season, December through to March. This station is also home to the state-of-the-art Rainforest Interpretation Centre. The Centre, developed in conjunction with CSIRO, Australia’s premier scientific research organisation, houses a visual and interactive presentation of the rainforest environment. As well as being the departure point for Djabugay Aboriginal Guided Walking Tours.

Multiple winner of the Qantas Award for Excellence in Sustainable Tourism, Skyrail is the world’s most beautiful rainforest experience.
