Two years since the release of their acclaimed second album Science and Sorcery, Adelaide’s Wolf & Cub are back with a cracking double A-side single featuring the tracks See The Light and All Through The Night. Produced, recorded and mixed by studio wunderkind Burke Reid (Gareth Liddiard, Jack Ladder, Dan Kelly) at Big Jesus Burger in Sydney, both See The Light and All Through The Night offer documented aural proof of a continually evolving band at the height of its collective creative powers. See The Light is primarily driven by a snaky bass line, the reverb rich vocals deliver a subtle but persuasive hook tempered by chiming delayed guitars. All Through The Night is a dreamy pop gem floating on a fragile falsetto vocal, its amphetamine bass pulse, broad sonic guitar brush strokes and sparse drumming burrow into the subconscious giving the impression that it may refuse to ever leave.

When: Saturday 7 April 10pm
Price: $12 from www.moshtix.com.au
+ ERIK OMEN (Live), Bobby Boomerang (Cut Copy), G.L.O.V.E.S, Tunnel Signs, Francis Chang
Cutters records is proud to announce the arrival of BEN BROWNING as the shiniest, newest addition to their stable of artists, and to celebrate his release, Ben is preparing to perform two exclusive shows in MELBOURNE and SYDNEY in April. Ben is of course no stranger to the Cutters crew, being the bassist in CUT COPY and now he reveals his own talent for penning perfect crystalline pop with his first EP on Cutters Records. Lover Motion salutes both the past and the future, with 5 tracks laden with classic melody and ethereal synthesizer tones. His 12 single release I Cant Stay from the EP gained praise from Pitchfork, and displays the trademark Ben Browning touch: delicately strained melodic and harmonic stylings, with a seeming fragility which belies its true versatility.
Supporting in Live is Erik Omen whose music is a seamless blend of 1970s Californian surf jams combined with a cosmic vision of the future.Their sophomore release on Siberia Records is a favourite at Cutters. The party doesn’t stop there! It ain’t a Cutters Records party without CUT COPY’s BOBBY BOOMERANG (Dan Whitford) bringing the party to a rhythm-fuelled climax. Hot off the heels of a Grammy nomination for their most recent album Zonoscope, the Cutters O.G. is primed for party as always!
More? for sure! G.L.O.V.E.S, “The Synth Shaman”, bike slut and occasional tennis enthusiast is also down to disco with extra support from TUNNEL SIGNS (Death Strobe Records) and Francis Chang, we’re ready to “bring it” all night long.

Tin Sparrow fans are in for a treat this April, as the Sydney four-piece has announced they will be embarking on an intimate run of East Coast tour dates to support the release of their highly anticipated second EP. A follow up to the well-received debut From The Sun – Tin Sparrow has called upon the talents of producer Liam Judson (Belles Will Ring, Cloud Control), to record the as yet untitled EP – which is due for release in April.
Having released first single – the Mark Myers produced track ‘Hector Myola’ late last year, the indie-folk quartet will be releasing the EP’s next single ‘Azzuro’ in early March. This new single was co-written by Tin Sparrow’s lead singer Matt Amery and drummer Mark Piccles. When asked about the song-writing experience Matt said, “I think Mark and I are more focused now and have been trying to write more and more together. ‘Azzuro’ was just one of those moments where it just came from nothing – hopefully that’s a good sign.”
Discussing what their fans can expect of their new material Matt continued, “I think our new material is still happy but a little more colourful. We are definitely looking forward to playing our new songs live.”
2011 saw the Sydney group off to a blistering start. From a sold out single launch and national airplay for track ‘Hector Myola’, to landing the main support on Husky’s national tour. And 2012 looks set to be even brighter. Having secured the coveted spot of national support on the sold out Matt Corby tour, Tin Sparrow will then take to the stage at Secret Garden Festival in March. Stay tuned for the announcement of the special guests who will be joining Tin Sparrow on their April tour.

What: JINGLE JANGLE! Celebrating their Third Birthday
When: Saturday 21 April 11pm
Price: $5
DJs: Smokey La Beef + Smart Casual
Sydney was a very different place in 2009 all glitz no glamour. No small bars. No rock & roll or rhythm & blues.
Born of frustration at a lack of good ole fashioned fun, Smokey approached friend and fellow sonic explorer Smart Casual about starting a night with the aim of bringing back long lost forgotten gems from 60’s pop to southern soul to exotica and all stops in between.
After searching high and low for an appropriate dive without luck Smart Casual approached friend Jimmy Sing about using a venue in the Spanish Quarter, La Campana. Sing had been putting on impromptu nights in the back room called Goodgod . Having settled on the venue the next step was finding a name for the night. While recently organising a house party, Smokey remembered an apt line from his girlfriend prior to the party starting – “I hope you’re not going to play that 50’s jingle jangle all night”. Jingle Jangle was born!
The first few parties were great fun, and the numbers turning up made it worthwhile. Then Halloween hit. No one knew what to expect, but when over 500 people packed the Twin Peaks themed party it was clear Jingle Jangle had touched the right nerve.
After a 6 month hiatus, Jingle Jangle returns to Goodgod to celebrate it’s 3rd birthday!
Smokey LaBeef & Smart Casual playing dance music all night.

Chet quickly came to everyone’s attention when his cover of ‘No Diggity’ by Blackstreet hit #1 on the worldwide indie music aggregator, Hype Machine.
The debut EP ‘Thinking in Textures’ will be out in Australia through Remote Control/Opulent on 23rd March. The first track to be heard from the release is ‘Terms and Conditions’, a gorgeously penned track hard to categorise from this part jazz, part soul and part electronic artist.

He recently supported Toro y Moi and Washed out for their shows in Australia and is heading to SXSW in March, where he will be appearing at the Filter Magazine showcase.
