Graphic Festival 2015
Graphic Festival is back for its fifth year!
Graphic Festival 2015 presents storytelling, music, illustration and animation this September and October, with additional free events just announced.
The event exhibiting everything from original models of cars from Mad Max: Fury Road, to the sold-out premiere screening of season six of the cult series The Walking Dead, Graphic promises to be a combination of art and animation any film buff would love.
Pitch your character creations to art directors Kim Taylor and Vivienne To, listen to the history of storytelling in music, or lose yourself in comics at the Kinokuniya Bookstore – there is something for every budding creative at Graphic. There is also the opportunity for signings from cult comic artists Brendan McCarthy and Nicola Scott and writer-director Kevin Smith.
If you only visit one event, let it be Mad Max in Conversation, where Award-winning writer-director George Miller will make his only Australian stage appearance, discussing the films storyboard and taking you through the creative journey; submit your questions online by October the 1st for the chance to hear it answered live on stage.
Since its beginnings in 2010, Graphic has played host to work from numerous respected artists, including, but not limited to Neil Gaiman, Shaun Tan, Gotye, Pixar’s Lee Unkrich and Art Spiegelman, proving it a highly influential event not to be missed.
