Great Hall High Tea @ National Gallery of Victoria – June – September 2013
The well-loved art movement of Impressionism has created vibrancy, light and colour since 1874. A major exhibition of the work of one of the movement’s founding father’s, Monet, will open on the 10th May 2013 at the Great Hall, Melbourne.
The Great Hall High Tea is on the second Sunday of each month, and combines the qualities of a Monet painting with the picturesque setting of the Great Hall.
Australian artist, Leonard French, completed the vibrant stained glass ceiling in 1967 at the hall.
The teas will feature tables decorated with Monet inspired floral tablecloths and large scale centrepieces.
Chicken sausage rolls, roasted vegetable tarts with parmesan and delectable sandwiches are on the menu.
While you enjoy your French culinary experience, DJ Scott Thompson will play some typical songs of France.
