GTA 5 Given Red Carpet Treatment
Girlfriends beware, the fifth installment of Grand Theft Auto is out and it’s bigger and better than ever before!
The hugely anticipated game has fans manic to purchase their copy. Thousands queued around blocks all over Britain eagerly awaiting its release at midnight Tuesday 17th September 2013. Those who did not move fast enough are kicking and screaming as the game has already sold out on Amazon and at most stores across the country.
The gangster-infested game has been given extra special treatment in comparison to its predecessors by its creator Rockstar North. To make it cost a whopping £170million, resulting in it being the biggest budget game of all time. In addition, events were held to advertise and celebrate the game in stores nationwide, building up the GTA 5 hype in true red-carpet form. No wonder we have high expectations!
Reviewers of the game have been incredibly positive, as they praise the graphics highly due to the intimate amount of detailing, its smooth game play and the impressive size of the maps.
The Metro’s GameCentral editor David Jenkins was overjoyed by the new release as he states “GTA V not only looks like the game the series have always wanted, but it plays like it too.” A review written in the Telegraph by Tom Hoggins suggests the game has set standards so high, it will be tough to outshine “It dares the rest of the blockbuster industry to try and match its scope and, even with new consoles on the horizon, it may be some time before anything steps up”.
Therefore it is no surprise that the game is anticipated to sell over 25million copies within its first year of being on the shelves.
I’m so sorry girls…but it sounds to me like this one’s a keeper.
