Heroes And Zeroes

A quick look at who is strutting their stuff in the world of rugby at the minute and who is just arsing it up big time:

 Heroes

Manu Tuilagi:

While the rest of the Lions squad were just trying not to look awkward at a recent photo shoot with PM David Cameron Tuilagi had the balls to go for the classic “bunny ears” pose behind the British leader.

Danny Cipriani:

While he is not busy getting run over by buses, shagging transvestites (allegedly!) or getting dumped by Kelly Brookes, Cipriani occasionally plays rugby. And so far this season he has been doing that pretty well. A 21 points haul for Sale against Wasps being a prime example.

Saracens:

Maximum points and a 100% record with over 100 points scored so far. A perfect start for the London club predicted to challenge Leicester this season.

Zeros

Match officials:

A pretty easy target but they don’t help themselves. Exhibit A, being the sin binning of Bismarck Du Plessis in the recent South Africa V New Zealand match for a great tackle on Dan Carter, just because it gave the NZ fly half a poorly shoulder.

In-fighting over European competition:

Bickering and name-calling is more common on the streets of Eastender’s Albert Square, has broken out between the top European clubs as they try and figure out the future of the elite game. Expect hair-pulling and tears before bedtime as the key figures in the European game carry on acting like spoilt five year olds.

England kit designers:

It’s our suspicion the designers of the new England Alternate kit may have been blind. The new shirt is very much white and red. The only problem with this being that since the beginning of time England’s home shirt has been white and red. We see a slight problem here.
