Common Announces Exciting Perth Shows
Having recently announced his East Coast Australian Tour, Hip-Hop legend Common has added another show in Perth at Metro City, on Saturday 7th May. This extra date replaces the Brisbane show that has been canceled.
Common has already blown away crowds in Australia back in 2014 at Soulfest, this time he returns for his first ever headline show. The popular Rapper and Actor has won 4 Grammy awards and recently added to his success by winning a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for his work on the lead track ‘Glory’ from the move which he starred, Selma. Common is renowned for his energetic shows and will be starting his tour in Melbourne on Friday 6th May. He will then move onto Perth, Adelaide and Sydney.
Joining Common is special guest Brooklyn-based rapper Talib Kweli, who has earned his stripes as one of raps most lyrically gifted newcomers. He is also one of the current rap community’s more socially aware and politically insightful members, he can regularly be seen on American TV discussing current issues affecting the lives of the community including mass incarceration, economic inequality and police brutality. A regular visitor to the shores of Australia, Talib has built up quite the reputation for putting on a show. Combine that with Commons poetic and respected lyrics and these two are sure to excite the Australian crowds this May.
