
Hola Mexico Film Festival returns to Australia for it’s 8th annual year!
The great Hola Mexico Film Festival have returned, touring their 8th annual film festival this year reaching out to Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth from 24th October – 8th December. This year’s film festival will include 2013’s surprise comedy, Nosotros Los Nobles (We are Nobles).
The Mexico Film Festival will do a splendid opening at each city, starting the night off by screening the film, Nosotros Los Nobles, when three spoilt children are cut off from their luxurious lifestyle and told to get a job, the unimaginable happens. Directed by Gary Alazraki, a construction Mogul Herman Noble tries to teach his three children a life lesson by pretending they are bankrupt and fugitives from the law when he realizes his children were spoilt beyond repair. He moves them into a poor neighbourhood and makes them work for a living which is something they have never needed to do before, bringing interesting and funny twists throughout. This concept teamed with Mexican humour have made it to the blockbusters; selling 6.8 million tickets, breaking box office records and becoming the number #1 Mexican film in box office history.
Festival director Samuel Douek says, “We are delighted to bring Mexico to Australia once again. This year’s film line-up will feature 10 feature films, 6 documentaries and special events and parties to mark the best that Mexican cinema and culture has to offer.”
Hola Mexico Film Festival wants’ to bring a taste of Mexican culture to the Australian cities through film, food and music. The festival will have it’s first pit stop in Melbourne from 24th-29th October, running at ACMI cinemas, then off too Perth from 14th-21st November at Cinema Paradisco. Thereafter, the festival will then stop off at Sydney from 27th November – 3rd December at Paddington’s Chauvel cinemas. The final stop will be at Adelaide from 29th November – 8th December at the Mercury cinema.
The festival doesn’t stop ther; whoever love films and parties have the opportunity to purchase an all access area ticket, including access to the screening and after party that will follow on.
