It’s common knowledge that Australia is not the cheapest of countries to live and travel in, and would be a shame to run out of money and having to go home early only because you didn’t do your research in advance. Make sure you are actually Working in Australia
Fortunately, there a plenty of jobs available around the country from waiting tables, construction work, and fruit picking to skilled working category like teaching, nursing and IT etc. Just remember to get a job and work on your working holiday.
A great tip hear is to do things back to front, get your agricultural work done in your first 3 months. This will mean you get to see the country, travel and do the ‘holiday’ part of your trip while saving some cash before you hit the big cities.
Once you’ve secured a job of your choosing, everything else depends on how you prioritise your needs and how you manage your funds. There will be some sacrifices along the way, it will not be practical to go out or eat-out every night, go shopping or getting in taxies where public transport is available.
Given that, travelling and experiencing a new culture and explore a new country is on top of your list, those sacrifices will be worth in the end.
