Secret Solstice 2015

Iceland’s awesome 24hour daylight festival is back again this year, with a world-class dance line up. Following the success of lasts year festival it means that thousands of people can party all day and night for the second time.

Secret Solstice is a festival held over three days during the summer solstice weekend, which are naturally the longest days of the year in Iceland. Meaning that festival party-goers can dance and enjoy that day buzz for 24 hours because of the sun never fully setting. Iceland is famous for its long summer days often putting more seasonal tourist destinations to shame. The festival will take place during Iceland’s midsummer season, over the weekend of 19th-21st of June, proving to be prime-time and a perfect way to start the Festival season.

Last years lineup was spectacular with globally famous acts such as Disclosure, Massive Attack, Jamie Jones and more, however this years lineup is promised to be something more amazing with fresh acts such as route 94, Gusgus, Droog, Zero 7 and many more. Not only does it provide an electrifying dance line-up, representatives of the festival are promising that more will be coming and not only in the dance genre. Other mainstream music genres such as rock, hip-hop and pop-acts are yet to be announced, making this truly a must go and diversely different festival.

Getting to the festival can be arranged through different modes of transportation, being very popular among the local Icelandic population means that hard-core festival lovers will have to be quick on their toes, being only over 3 hours on a plane from London makes this an dynamic and exciting go to festival this year.
