An exciting journey, there’s nothing quite like venturing through Nepal to India.

Kathmandu

Arriving in the Himalayan city of Kathmandu in Nepal, you will be able to meet your fellow travellers before taking in the stunning Buddhist shrine, Swayambhunath Stupa. You’ll also have the option for further optional activities such as a scenic flight, a Rickshaw Night Explorer Urban Adventure and even more activities around the city. Come morning, when you awake in Kathmandu it will be time to go and explore the markets and bazaars – awash with holy men, Buddhist monks, goats and cows and a cacophony of colours.

Chitwan National Park

Situated at the foot of the Himalayas, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is where you’ll find some of the most exciting wildlife in Asia. It’s here that you’ll find rhino, deer, monkeys, and the Nepalese wild chickens! Climbing on board a jeep you’ll embark on a safari through the park where you may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a Bengal Tiger. Whilst visiting the park you’ll also have the chance to partake in optional activities such as biking, bird watching, cultural performances, village tours and more!

Lumbini

Next it’s off to the border town of Lumbini, approximately 5 hours drive from Chitwan National Park. The town is renowned for being the birthplace of Gautama Buddha – the founder of Buddhism – and is one of the four holy places of pilgrimage. Here you can take in the beauty of the Ashoka Pillars and explore the area via rickshaw, as well as the Maya Devi Temple where Lord Buddha is believed to have been born.

Varanasi

Venturing over the border into India, you’ll make your way to Varanasi. A long 8-10 hour drive you will cross over the border at Sunauli. Varanasi is where you’ll find one of the holiest Hindu cities on earth and an abundance of temples, shrines and devoted pilgrims. Awaking early in the next morning in Varanasi you’ll climb on board a boat to explore the world famous Ganges at sunrise.

Agra

Home to the world famous, Taj Mahal, you’ll reach Agra via an overnight sleeper train from Varanasi. Taking in the epic splendour of the white marble structure will no doubt leave you awe-struck, but after you’ve seen the Taj Mahal in all its glory it’s time to explore the Agra Fort and its palatial gardens as well as Akbar’s Mausoleum and many other sites around the city.

Tordi

Next up is a stop that’s fairly off the beaten track and is where you’ll find a lovely local village where you can really get to see the Indian way of life. One bonus to this leg of the tour is also getting to stay in a 16th Century palace with its owner as your host.

Jaipur

Known as the Pink City, Jaipur is your penultimate stop on this incredible tour. Jaipur will give you the chance to take in the buzzing bazaars as you haggle for spices and textiles as well as semi-precious jewels and blue pottery. It’s here that you’ll also find fascinating museums and courtyard gates at the Royal City Palace.

New Delhi

The final stop on your tour of Nepal and India is New Delhi where you can explore this bustling city with an Urban Adventure or via cycling rickshaw. It’s here where the tour concludes and where you can bid your fellow tour mates Namaste the following morning.
