Jack Johnson Announces New Sydney Date For Sell Out Tour

Calling all Jack Johnson fans based in the Southern hemisphere! You are being spoilt with one extra date on the ‘Better Together’ singer’s 2013 Australian tour.

The ‘From Here To Now To You’ tour is taking place in December this year and will showcase his sixth studio album. The original four-date tour, which spans Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, sold more-than-swiftly to his fans when they went on sale earlier this week. But the Sydney-siders are the lucky ones on this occasion, with Mr Johnson announcing that he will do a second show in the forecourt of the city’s famous Opera house.

Jack, who has sold more than 19 million albums worldwide since he landed on the music scene in 2001 with his debut album “Brushfire Fairytales”, has opted for a range of locations for the Australian leg of his world tour. From airy open air venues like King’s Park in Perth to the intimacy of the Plenary Theatre in Melbourne, he wants the audiences to get the most they can out of the shows.

He will be joined on stage by his longstanding touring band members Adam Topol, Merlo Podlewski and Zach Gill. Supporting Johnson will be Oahu-based musicians Paula Fuga and John Cruz, who will prove the ideal companions for the tone of the set, which is heavily inspired by the star’s Hawaiian tour last year.

Jack Johnson has donated every penny of his tour profits to charity since 2008, and this year will be no different. He will also encourage recycling and food donations from audiences throughout the whole tour in an attempt to make an eco-impact.
