Sydney-based fans of the award-winning British singer/songwriter James Blunt will be thrilled to hear the star has added an extra date to his tour, playing the State Theatre for the second consecutive evening on Saturday 31st May 2014.

Following the impressive popularity of his first Sydney tour date – which saw the initial State Theatre date selling out promptly – Blunt decided to treat fans to another date the following night in the venue which has proven to be so favourable.

Following a couple of quiet years for the singer, Blunt has burst back into our airwaves headlong. His 2013 album ‘Moon Landing’ touched down at #5 on the ARIA chart, before climbing up to an impressive #2 slot on the UK chart. The first single to be released from the album, ‘Bonfire Heart’, has also peaked at #1 on the iTunes singles chart, debuted at #5 on the ARIA singles chart and the video (see below) has since been viewed over 10 million times online.

Equipped with a full band for his 2014 tour, Blunt is set to enthral his audience with his first live performance since 2011. Playing tracks from his new album for the first time, James Blunt will also be giving fans a chance to hear their old favourites again, playing delights such as ‘You’re Beautiful’ and ‘Goodbye My Lover’ for the first time in years.

Also accompanying Blunt on his journeys will be the home-grown talents of Busby Marou, an Australian country-tinged duo with a penchant for folk-pop.

So don’t miss your chance to see the talented Mr Blunt and Co. in concert; Frontier Members tickets are on sale from Thursday 5th Dec (2pm AEDT) to Friday 6th Dec (2pm AEDT), and tickets for the general public will go on sale from 9am local time, Monday 9th December 2013.
