Jet Announce Split After 11 Years
Will there be hearts breaking? Well not ours, but maybe some of you lot will be saddened by this news. Jet have decided to go their separate ways. The Australian rock band, Jet, formed in 2001 while attending St Bede’s College Mentone in Melbourne. The band consisted of lead guitarist Cameron Muncey, bassist Mark Wilson, and brothers Nic and Chris Cester on vocals/rhythm guitar and drums respectively. The group sold 6.5 million records worldwide.
Jet released the following statement:
“After many successful years of writing, recording and touring we wish to announce our discontinuation as a group. From the many pubs, theatres, stadiums and festivals all across the world it was the fans that made our amazing story possible and we wish to thank them all. Thank you, and goodnight.”
