For an unforgettable experience combining the ocean’s marine life with adrenaline sports, take to the waters on board Okiedokie, Westcoast Jet’s mighty carriage. Flying its passengers in speeds of around 70kmph, the powerful 12-metre, 850hp jet boat skims out of Fremantle Harbour and takes them on a fun and wet journey, leaving behind a path of foamy, white swell.

Ocean Encounter

Discover what the boat can really do and put your faith in the experienced and highly trained skippers for the Ocean Encounter, 20 minutes of thrills, high speed turns and 270-degree slide outs. Heart-pumping music will set the tone and pace for this wicked ride and get you prepared for the soaking of your life as the Indian Ocean covers you in head to toe. Following a concise safety briefing, just wait for the boat to exit the speed restriction zone and let the open ocean overcome you.

Between May and December, Ocean Encounter runs only on weekends and public holidays at 11.30am – 1pm; December to February sees tours every day except Christmas Day from 11am – 4pm; and February to May takes passengers out between Thursday and Sunday as well as public holidays from 11.30am – 1pm.

Whale Watching

For an alternative experience of wild Australia, jump on board Okiedokie and depart from Fishingboat Harbour Boardwalk for a Whale Watching tour. An activity you will most likely find on everyone’s bucket list, view the majestic Humpback whales as they migrate back to the south. With a high probability of calves joining the adult Humpbacks on this epic journey, this truly is a sight to remember, so don’t forget the camera for permanent mementos. With uninterrupted views, quick travel and seating for just 20 passengers, you can be sure to get the most enjoyable whale watching tour in the area.
