Jimmy Kimmel Makes Kanye Cross
We all heard about Kanye West’s outlandish interview with Radio 1’s Zane Lowe this week (or if you didn’t, you may have been living under a rock and therefore should read up on it here).
You’ve got to take Kanye with a pinch of salt really, he is the world’s number one rock star after all, so he’ll do what he wants and most certainly say what he wants. But when American chat show host Jimmy Kimmel dared pinch that salt, he got a right earful from the man himself.
Describing the recent interview, Kimmel starts by setting the mocking tone as he means to go on, “you’re not gonna believe, this but he said a lot of weird stuff”. He doesn’t doubt that West is the top rock star on the planet, but he does question which planet he is actually on.
Ok, ok, so now we can sort of see why it got Kanye’s back up. Perhaps he was taking the piss a little bit. The main event was a spoof, using two children to reconstruct the interview with milkshakes in hand. The little tykes manage to pack all the best quotes from the Zane Lowe interview into less than 60 seconds, using all the same gesticulations and passion as the main man himself did.
Surprisingly, Kanye didn’t take too kindly to the parody, however cute it was. Take a look at his barrage of Twitter anger aimed at Kimmel below.
But he doesn’t stop with that little lot. Another of our favourites was the low blow he dealt by proclaiming that Jimmy Kimmel’s comedienne-ex, Sarah Silverman, is “a thousand times funnier” than him, and worse, that “the whole world knows it”. Ouch.
We think you should take all the attention as a compliment, Kanye, and then you should chill out. Watch the spoof for yourself here.
